Question: How to determine the type of wood on an old dresser?
( Back )
Answer #1:
You could take one of the drawers into a building supply like Home Depot and try to match the wood characteristics with some of their lumber.Or ask them to identify it.
Or go to the library and look in some of the books that identify lumber.
My old carpentry book from school had photos of the various woods and descriptions.
